Summary:

Omar is a teen writer of dark fiction that has many fans.  As he continues to write he starts having visions and it seems these visions are coming true.  The visions are both hurting him and appear to be killing people.  One day a girl called Sophie appears.  She is a Goth who says she had similar problems and has a cure for the visions.  The cure might be far worse and darker then Omar can do.  He then runs into another girl named Rebecca who says Sophie has far darker secrets.

 

Evaluation:

This short book is written in third person narrative form and is clearly written.  Being a modern novel it does include elements of modern technology like webpages including comments the main character reacts to.  The writer writes a in a fairly normal manner.

 

Readers Annotation:

Imagination can be great, until it starts coming true.

 

Booktalking ideas:

Is writing dark stories and imagining dark ideas a good or bad thing?  Does having dark visions make someone a bad person or are they just another form of entertainment.
